Afri-Creative Hub

Afri-Creative Hub is an Art centre assisting emerging artists achieve their dreams and also aims to empower them with knowledge gained skills development . It was established in 2019 by Nwabisa Nkonyana, a fine arts graduate with a vision of imparting her skills and knowledge to the youth and more particularly those interested in the Arts but have no means of accessing Universities.

The vision of the hub is to see children and youth in communities participate in contemporary arts, Visual Arts and 4th industrial revolutionary programs that will elevate their livelihoods for the better, thereby transforming their lives from the under privileged status to becoming agents of change. Afri-Creative Hub also aim to uplift communities by providing artistic skills as well as knowledge in Information Technology or Techno Art. Awareness about the vast industry of Visual Arts is of great importance and as an alternative career path for the youth in the communities.

The mission is to create a solid industry for the Visual Arts market in the communities, while impacting positively in the lives of many and transforming communities into beautiful art spaces. Create channels where the children, youth, all community members and especially emerging artists would be able to earn returns on their work of art.

The Hub provide Art classes, Technology classes to children from the ages of 6 to 16 as an afternoon program to supplement their educational development. Students learn the history of Art, drawing, colouring, design, 2D visualization, basic techo-art editing, Ms office (computer literacy) and financial literacy. The space is also used as a gallery to showcase works of the local artists and the students and the art is sold to the public and exhibited on shows.
