James Fernie of Uthando will once again be cycling the 109km Cape Town Cycle Tour on the 10th of March 2019 to raise funds for the children at Home from Home. This wonderful organisation creates families for vulnerable children. There are currently 36 small family homes across 14 communities with close to 200 children in their care where the children can feel safe and secure whilst also gaining access to education, health care and the necessary therapeutic input they require. Their dedicated team of foster mothers and social workers nurture the children with the emotional and psychological support they need so that they can grow up to become independent young adults, who are ready to go out into the world. All funds raised through the Cape Town Cycle Tour in 2019 will not only go towards the costs of their day to day care, but will also assist Home from Home in funding any therapeutic and extra educational assistance their children may need. Please help Uthando to support the children at Home from Home. Donations can be made on the Uthando website selecting Home from Home as project recipient.
