Help Us Build The Most Spectacular Agri Hub Facility In The World!
Addressing Issues Within Supply Chain Management, Food-Security, & Employment
Uthando South Africa has partnered with Abalimi Bezekhaya (Farmers of the Home) to build a one of a kind Agri Hub Facility in Khayelitsha! This facility will expand access to the market (restaurants, hotels, & community stores) for thousands of micro-farmers within and around Khayelitsha! This is a massive economic booster for the farmers as well as the people who will be employed at the facility! The facility will have a refrigeration chambers, packing facilities & a conference room that will be rented out for corporate or goverment events, which brings in additional income that can be used to cover costs at the facility! In addition to this, the more than a million people living in Khayelitsha will have direct access to farm fresh vegetables, highlighting the value of this facility in terms of food-security!
What is the draw card?
The facility will be built entirely out of repurposed waste materials i.e. tyres filled with crushed building rubble, plastic bottles filled with rubbish, film-set waste bricks, glass bottles, and other waste materials, cleaning the planet with every 1 of the 1000 square meters that will be built!
We Need Your Help!
Help us finance the construction of the Moya We Khaya Agri Hub! The building will cost approximately R15 000 000, and once completed, it will boost the local economy in Khayelitsha, and the people on the ground are the ones who will benefit!
