Addressing Social Challenges & Developing Youth
Across South Africa, children are exposed to gangsterism, substance abuse, and gender-based violence! Uthando & Our Partners are utilising sport as a tool to steer youth away from these negative influences that they face on a daily basis, creating a platform for positive change!
Why sport? We believe and see first-hand, the power that sport has in captivating the minds of youth, and we are harnessing this to keep them off of the streets, in an environment conducive to their development!
What is the draw card?
These pitches are built with repurposed tyres & building rubble, meaning we are cleaning the planet with each pitch that is built! Additionally, the materials are free, so a substantial amount of the expense for these pitches supports the labourers who are building them!
