Mohamed began his career in tourism in 1995, when he helped launch the Walk to Freedom Tour. From the outset, he and his colleagues were pioneers of sustainable and responsible tourism, firmly believing that all communities should share in the benefits of South Africa’s democracy and tourism industry.
The tour remained an important part of his work throughout his career, during which he also became a modest supporter of Uthando. Having now been blessed with a second opportunity to serve the industry and its people, he is determined to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of communities across the Cape Flats.
He believes the time has come for accelerated action—and for everyone to put their money where their mouths are. Uthando’s work resonates deeply with his values and his ambition to make a tangible difference as a social entrepreneur.
