Beauty for Ashes (RF) NPC is an organization that provides a safe place of refuge for women who are returning to society, having experienced and endured time in prison. Understanding the challenges an ex-offender faces when trying to rebuild their lives, the program emphasizes women’s nurturing and empowerment. Beauty for Ashes’ development programs aids the reintegration of these women to society. The organization opens doors to meaningful employment with dignity. With all daily interactions monitored, immediate intervention occurs if anything goes wrong. Support is on hand to ensure each person is allowed to rebuild their lives with a fresh, new start. As well as the two designated homes in Observatory, Beauty for Ashes work in prisons, offering life skills programs that prepare female offenders for their release from behind bars. Beauty for Ashes entered a partnership agreement with the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) in 2013. The DCS and Beauty for Ashes work together to create and establish more places of refuge and rehabilitation for women in the future.
